I have had trouble free operation for three or four years but now after turning the power on, my trusty old iCord Humax HD is no longer getting any Further than "Starting System" after which the screen goes black. The Humax icord (for Europe) should be available in Europe in December. There is an icord available now but be warned that this is for the Middle East market.It has no usb output for an external hard drive amongst other things. The Europian model will have two usb sockets and an ethernet port

That's a bit unfair - this restriction applies to all twin-tuner PVRs. The only PVR capable of recording four channels on four different transponders irrespective of level (H/V, H/L) is the long-awaited forthcoming Dreambox DM8000 which has two tuners built in but to which a further two my be fitted. Actually, I tried with original hmx file from humax website and modified firmware that I've found at downloads section at this forum. The Europian model will have two usb sockets and an ethernet port Looks a lot like simply a modified version of the 9200T for a particular pay-TV market, and with Satellite tuners and a modified EPG. The fourth recod is limited by transponder/multiplex since its only twin tuner anyway.
