What is a share split football index
The trader meet in London saw the announcement of the very much so anticipated Share Split date. We knew it was Q1 2019, however a Breaking announcement by Adam Cole saw that the Share Split will be implemented on the 26th March 2019. I'm pretty new to the index so I have missed any previous share splits. From what I am reading and from my understanding of a share split, if this does happen then we will all have our shares increased which will reduce the price of each of our players and as a result of this dividends will also be reduced. Before the split the value of a full share will be immediately higher, than when the split happens after. As all shares value will literally be split to a lower (currently unknown) fraction . Once the split happens, all invididual shares will be lower in value, so it will allow smaller budgets to invest-especially in higher unattainable players We are always looking to improve Football Index and there has been lots of discussion in the community around a potential ‘Share Split’. A Share Split would increase the number of shares in circulation by dividing each share and their potential dividend payouts, which in turn reduces the price.

It had widely been rumoured/anticipated that the split would be by at least a denomination of 4, but the Football Index appear to have adopted a slightly more cautious approach and decided to go with a 3-way split.
